Avril Lavigne Files Patent to Launch Her Own Perfume
Published by Linda on January 31st, 2008
Oh boy! After all the recent talk about February perfume launches, Avril Lavigne is joining The Force. At least she is not rushing for the oh-so-popular Valentine’s Day launch (mainly because she can’t).
Lavigne has just recently filed an application with the U.S. patent and trademark office using her name for the following types of products: perfume, after shave, bath oil, bath soap, shower gel, body shampoo and body lotion. Following the footsteps of pop-stars such as Britney Spears, Hillary Duff and Christina Aguilera, we will be seeing Avril Lavigne branded perfume as well as bath and body products in the near future.

What a wonderful blog! I’m an old Chanel girl myself…does that make me old or what? This site makes me want to run out to the mall and go perfume shopping. Can’t wait to read your next post.
blessings,

What a beautiful blog
Avril looks so pretty in that shot. I’m curious what her perfume will smell like!

Thank you all for visiting Delicious Scent! I’m curious about Avril Lavigne’s perfume too since it will be her first one. I just hope it’s good because there is a flood of celebrity perfumes on the market that I’m not overly fond of.
By the way, I selected the picture of her with the heart because it reminds me of Valentine’s Day.

I think this has been a trend for all female celebs?

You are right, Hani. It’s been a trend for female (and even male) celebrities to market a perfume with their name on it. Sadly, a lot of them sell mainly because the buyer is a fan, and not because it actually smells good.

I never really saw her as a product queen. This is going to be interesting for sure.

I have always loved Avril and her music – perhaps I will give her perfume a try! That is a darling pic.
