Woman Saves Her Life by Spraying Perfume

On the afternoon of March 29, 2008, a woman (whose name is being withheld by the police) stopped to check on a man who fell to the ground in front of her car. When she approached him to see if he was okay, “he pulled out a knife, forced her into her car and threatened to kill her.”

They drove around for nearly two hours before the little lady surprised her captor by spraying him with a bottle of Elizabeth Arden Red Door that had been sitting in her car. The spray from the perfume sent him running. Although the woman had minor cuts on her face and arm, at least all she lost was 80 bucks and her cell phone rather than her life.

According to Corpus Christi police Cmdr. David Torres, “It’s not common for someone to lay himself in front of a vehicle. He should be glad the driver was paying attention and stopped.”

Currently, the police are still looking for the suspect.

I bet he’s going to have nightmares about perfumes for days to come.

    I didn’t know a perfume can be “lethal” :P

Apparently, it can be used like a pepper spray. LOL.

Wow! that is creepy what that man did. So glad that woman was resourceful enough to use her perfume! *note to self- don’t wear Elizabeth Arden Red Door perfume*

  5. Michelle Says:

That was quick thinking! I don’t carry perfume, but if he was only carrying a knife, I probably would have punched him in the throat or ear…hehe…but that is seriously a scary situation and all women should learn self defense!

YAY for perfume used a weapon!

I don’t carry perfume with me but now I am thinking I should buy some really stinky kind for an alternative use.

    I knew why I didn’t like Elizabeth Arden! ;)
at least she had the courage to act, that’s beyond any other comment I could have on what’s happened.
