Thank you for that bit of information, Moe. I do realize that perfume sales in the U.S. have increased, but it also has decreased. I'm not talking about the overall sales, but what has occured in between the declining economy. Again, thank you for your input.

There is no way I would pay money for someone's chewed up gum (okay, maybe Brad Pitt's) but I wouldn't bid a dime over $50 :-)

Hi Michelle - Seriously. People on eBay even buys gum that a celebrity had chewed for insane amount of money.

Hi Rose - Yes, there are indeed a lot of people in China. I suppose that would contribute to the high sales number.

I find it interesting that they "buy for the brand" and not the scent. It always amazes me how celebrities can sell just about anything with their name.

Hi Sandy, I'm sure bad economy contributed to the decline in sales. I'm just surprised that people weren't buying earlier in China. The last time I visited, I saw tons of designer counters with make up and perfumes, and a lot of people shopping there.

Wow! That is very interesting. I'm curious if it's because the economy in places like the US isn't doing so well that people are not buying perfumes as much.
