Ooh La La is a sweet vanilla scent with the slightest hint of cherry blossom. The fragrance is not very strong, which definitely agrees with me personally because I don’t like to overwhelm people with my perfume. One of the interesting things I noted is that the scent of Ooh La La resembles the smell of the store itself. If you ever walk into the beauty section of Victoria’s Secret, you’ll notice this sweet smelling scent that lingers in the air as a result of all the lotions and fragrances. Ooh La La reminded me of that smell, but lighter.

The main notes in Ooh La La are vanilla, cherry blossom and mandarin, but the latter is not as noticeable as the former two notes. However, Ooh La La still manages to smell light and refreshing, even with the vanilla factor. The blend of ingredients in Ooh La La is perfect. I can imagine that if a bit more vanilla is added, it’ll end up smelling too sweet.

I would definitely recommend this perfume if you are looking for something fun, sexy and light-hearted!

The new Chance is indeed very light and fresh. The scent is a creamy floral that smells fun and youthful, but elegant and sophisticated at the same time. Its base notes are composed of citrus and jasmine, which emphasizes the refreshing yet feminine impression. Notes included are: Citron, Water Hyacinth, Jasmine Absolute, White Musk, Vetiver, Amber Patchouli, and Teak Wood.

Many people who have tried Chance actually prefer it more than Chanel No. 5, which is probably one of the most well known fragrances of the world and an icon in the perfume industry. It appears as though people are going for a more sparkling fresh type of scent as opposed to the heavier parfum in the older days. Although No. 5 is the more famous of the two, the new Chancel Chance is perhaps more appropriate for modern perfume users. I, myself, prefer the light and refreshing scent, so I personally recommend Chanel Chance.

I think garden based scents are great for room sprays if one fancies it, but not as a perfume. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe most women like Floral, Citrus or Fruit scented perfumes that are refreshing, not overly sweet smelling, and make one feel more confident and feminine. Unfortunately, Deseo achieves none of that – not that it doesn’t smell good, but it isn’t exactly the greatest formula for women’s perfume. However, it would probably make a good room spray in which I’d label as ‘Midnight Garden’ or whatnot. But I personally wouldn’t use it as a perfume simply because I don’t want to walk around smelling like granny’s backyard. No offense, grandma.

Like the description, the first impression of this fragrance is refreshing. I actually pictured the ocean in my mind when I smelled it. After about 30 seconds, the scent became a bit sweet and I can also detect the citrus notes. The fragrance lingered lightly throughout the day, and I was constantly reminded of the ocean. Although My Voyage isn’t the most exceptional perfume I’ve used, it is undoubtedly one that I would add to my collection.

Notes included are: Grapefruit, Bergamot, Key Lime, Bitter Orange, Aquatic Notes, Peony, Nantucket Lotus, Muguet, Musk, Orris, Golden Amber, and Pink Peppercorn.

Be Delicious is a combination of apple scent with an incredible blend of exotic flowers and sensual woods. This succulent fragrance is refreshing, modern, and unique among apple scented products. Although there is a hint of sweetness, it’s not sugary. It reminds me of a lightly sweetened, crispy green apple. It’s so delicious I just wanna take a bite!

Notes included are: American Apple, Cucumber, Grapefruit, Candid Magnolia, Tuberose, White Muguet, Rose, Violet, Sandalwood, Tender Skin Accord, Blonde Woods, and White Amber.

This perfume is great for everyday use because it’s not very strong or over-powering. The scent just lingers gently on the skin, but enough to entice the senses with its yummy fragrance. Many people who’ve used Be Delicious described it as an apple-y version of Liz Claiborne’s Curve.

This attractive and sparkling perfume is created with a mixture of fruit and florals. The citrus top notes often remind me of pink grapefruit, which in my opinion, smells wonderful as a fragrance. Secret Wish’s scent is refreshing; subtle yet unique. It is great for the spring and summer seasons. Notes included are: Lemon, Melon and Apricot-Scented Flowers, Pineapple, Black Current, White Cedarwood, and Amber.

Versace Bright Crystal was introduced in 2006. It comes in a clear bottle with an over the top crystal lid. The presentation is beautiful, and the container is designed to match its name, Bright Crystal.

The first impression of Bright Crystal is crispy and fresh. It is comprised of yuzu and pomegranate with a delicious blend of peony, magnolia, and lotus flower. There are no heavy base notes that can sometime become overbearing. However, if you like perfumes that are stronger, Bright Crystal is on the light side. Therefore, you will need to reapply often if you do choose to use it.

The perfume comes in a purple tinted heart-shaped bottle that reminds of me a 12-year-old’s plaything. I picked up the tester and sprayed, and wow, it was sweet. Not an attractive sweet scent, but a sugary fragrance accompanied by an overwhelming amount of alcohol. Princess is composed of fruity notes and vanilla, with musk and amber as its base notes, accented with dark chocolate.

According to Vera Wang press release, “She is the fashion forward ‘it’ girl in her teens and twenties.” However, as someone who is in her twenties, I do not relate to Princess at all. In fact, I cannot imagine Vera Wang Princess on anyone but a little girl in her pink ballerina dress. Perhaps this is what the perfumery sought to achieve – a sweet scent for a cute Princess. But it just doesn’t work for me like it does for those who are devoted to popular culture and blindly follow the trendsetter.

If you want to try it out of curiosity, you can purchase Vera Wang Princess at discount perfume stores rather than department stores that charges full price. Regardless of its popularity, Princess is not for everyone.

Remember, perfume only smells good when your nose tells you it smells good.

I’m not sure if they were overwhelmed by a flood of holiday e-mails, or simply slow. I do think Perfume Emporium need to improve in that respect because as far as business goes, customer is the most important. On a good note, I am happy with the product I received, and it was well packaged.
